Chiropractic Works
Chiropractic continues to grow every year. Last year more than 30 million people visited a Chiropractor for a variety of conditions. There are currently about 60,000 Chiropractors and it is estimated that there will be over 100,000 by 2011.
Chiropractic is the third largest doctoral-level health care profession after medicine and dentistry. It is also the largest Natural Health Care group. In recent years people are going more and more to Doctors of Chiropractic. This is due in large part because of its success in the treatment of so many different conditions without the use of drugs or surgery.
Chiropractic is a SCIENCE, PHILOSOPHY, and ART of healing. Chiropractic is based in science and education. To become a doctor of Chiropractic requires the same or more hours of education required to be an MD. The education process continues long after college with continuing education seminars and classes. Some Chiropractors go on to get additional degrees in various areas of specialty.
Chiropractic Philosophy is based on our unique and very successful approach to health care. We primarily look to the spine and nervous system in our approach to health care. We adjust the spine to reduce the pressure on the nervous system. This allows the nervous system to function better. When the nervous system works better the body, as a whole will improve. This increase in the function of the nervous system allows the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery.
Chiropractic is also an ART. It is the ART of the adjustment. It is the ART that is developed over the years of study and practice on how and when to adjust the spine. The ART is used with the Doctors’ Chiropractic Technique. It is the ART of removing the interference that is causing the condition. Thus allowing the body to heal itself.
